Our Story
Discover the rich history of the Key West Woman’s Club (KWWC), a volunteer service organization founded in 1915. For over a century, we have embodied our motto, “Qui Non Proficit Deficit,” by supporting local non-profits and enhancing the quality of life in Key West and Monroe County through dedicated fundraising efforts. The KWWC building, a historic mansion on Duval Street, stands as a testament to our commitment and community spirit. Learn more about our journey and impact on the Our Story page.
Our Museum
Step into history at our museum, housed in one of Key West’s few brick structures—a stunning mansion built in 1892 by Captain Martin Luther and Eleanor Curry Hellings, daughter of the prominent merchant William Curry. This 8,334 square foot gem has witnessed the city’s trials and triumphs, including the devastating fire of 1886 that reshaped Key West’s landscape and community. Learn more about our unique history on the Our Museum page.

Saving Eleanor
The historic Hellings House Museum, home of The Key West Woman’s Club has begun a capital campaign for future generations. Now 130 years old, the home built by Martin and Eleanor Curry Hellings, needs our help! Though she has been lovingly cared for, a crumbling staircase, old roof and a deteriorating iron balcony must be repaired for safety and aesthetic reasons.
All donations greatly appreciated
